The 1993-batch Neerja Gotru has been given rank of Director General of Police (DGP) in her current position, while 2000-batch Nipuna M Torawane has been elevated to the grade of ADG and appointed as Principal Secretary of the Home Department.  

Through an order issued by the Gujarat’s Home Department, Additional Chief Secretary MK Das said: “Dr. (Ms.) Neeraja Gotru, IPS (GJ:1993), Additional Director General of Police, Police Recruitment Board, Gandhinagar is promoted to Director General of Police posted to the ex-cadre post of Director General of Police, Police Recruitment Board, Gandhinagar.” She has been given the Scale of Pay to Level 16 in Pay Matrix of Rs. 2,05,400-2,24,400, it added.

In another important decision, the Home Department order said, “Smt. Nipuna M. Torawane, IPS (GJ:2000), Secretary (Home), Home Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar is promoted to Additional Director General of Police Grade and appointed to the ex-cadre post of Principal Secretary (Home), Home Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar.” She has been given the Scale of Pay to Level 15 in Pay Matrix of Rs. 1,82,200-2,24,100, it added.

Hiteshkumar Hansraj Joysar, a 2011-cadre IPS officer has been promoted to the grade of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP). Currently, he has been holding the post of Superintendent of Police (SP), Surat Rural. “Joysar has been appointed on the ex-cadre post of DIGP, Surat Rural by upgrading the cadre post of SP, Surat Rural to the ex-cadre post of DIGP, Surat Rural,” the order read. He has been given the Scale of Pay to Level 13-A in Pay Matrix of Rs. 1,31,100-2,16,600.

Joysar batchmate Tarun Duggal, who is currently holding the post SP, Mehsana, has also been to the grade of DIGP in the scale of Pay to Level-13 in Pay Matrix of Rs 1,31100-2,16,600. “Duggal is now appointed on the ex-cadre post of DIGP, Mehsana by upgrading the cadre post of SP, Mehsana to the ex-cadre post of DIGP, Mehsana,” the order said.

Another 2011-batch IPS officer Chaitanya Ravindra Mandlik, who is currently holding the post of SP, C.I.D. (Crime), Gandhinagar, has been promoted to DIGP in the Scale of Pay to Level 13-A. He has now been appointed on the ex-cadre post of DIGP, C.I.D. (Crime) by upgrading the ex-cadre post of SP, C.I.D. (Crime).

According to the order Saroj Kumari, IPS (GJ:2011), SP (Western Railway), Vadodara is promoted to DIGP Grade in the Scale of Pay to Level 13-A in Pay Matrix of Rs. 1,31,100-2,16,600 and appointed on the ex-cadre post of DIGP (Western Railway), Vadodara by upgrading the ex- cadre post of SP (Western Railway), Vadodara to the ex-cadre post of DIGP.

RV Chudasama, IPS (GJ:2011), Commandant, SRPF, Group-09, Vadodara is promoted to DIGP grade in the Scale of Pay to Level 13- A  and appointed to the ex-cadre post of DIGP, SRPF, Group-09, Vadodara by upgrading the post he is holding.  

“RP Barot, IPS (GJ:2011), Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Zone-5, Surat City is promoted to DIG grade in the Scale of Pay to Level 13- A ,” the order also read, adding that he has been appointed Additional Commissioner of Police, Zone-5, Surat City by upgrading the post he his holding.

GA Pandya, IPS (GJ:2011), SP, Surendranagar has also been promoted to the DIG grade in the Scale of Pay to Level 13-A and appointed DIGP, Surendranagar by upgrading the post he has been holding.

RT Susara, IPS (GJ:2011), SP, Marine Task force Commander, Hajira is also promoted to the DIGP Grade in the Scale of Pay to Level 13-A by upgrading the post he has been holding.

Sudha S. Pandey, IPS (GJ:2011), Commandant, SRPF, Group-13, Rajkot has similary been promoted to DIGP Grade in the Scale of Pay to Level 13-A upgrading the post she is currently holding.

Sujata Mazmudar, IPS (GJ:2011), Deputy Director, State Police Academy, Karai, Gandhinagar has also been promoted to the rank of DIGP Grade in the Scale of Pay to Level 13-A and appointed on the ex-cadre post of Joint Director, State Police Academy, Karai, Gandhinagar by upgrading the ex- cadre post she currently holds.
