Shortly after being sworn-in on Friday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma appointed senior IAS officer T Ravikanth as his Principal Secretary.

A 1998-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Rajasthan cadre, Ravikanth replaces Kuldeep Ranka, who was the Principal Secretary to former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

Ranka, a 1994-batch IAS officer, was also the Chairperson of the Rajasthan Industrial and Investment Development Corporation in the Gehlot government.

CM Sharma made two more appointments in the Chief Minister’s Office, according to a government communication.

He appointed 2007-batch IAS officer Anandhi his Secretary.

Saumya Jha of the 2017 batch has been made Joint Secretary in the CMO.

Currently, Ravikanth is posted as Principal Secretary (Medical Education) and Anandhi is posted as IT and Communication Secretary. Jha is serving as the CEO of Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council.
