In a major move, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has ordered the transfer and posting of seven Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories) cadre.
The MHA has directed the reassignment of the IAS officers to different Union Territories and states with immediate effect.
According to the official order, the officers have been shifted across various segments of the AGMUT cadre until further orders. Sources stated that the transfers are part of administrative restructuring within the AGMUT cadre.
According to the notification, Sravan Bagaria (2001 batch) has been transferred from Delhi to Goa, while K.C. Sundar (2018 batch) has been shifted from Delhi to Puducherry. Sushil Singh (2013 batch) has been transferred from Delhi to Mizoram.
Sivakumar A.S. (2009 batch) has been shifted from Puducherry to Lakshadweep.
Similarly, Ranjeet Singh has been transferred from Delhi to Mizoram, Ajay Kumar from Delhi to Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (DNH&DD), and Pranjal Jhazrika (a 2006-batch DANICS officer) from Delhi to Jammu & Kashmir.
The order specifies that the transfers of officers at serial numbers 1, 5, and 6 shall take effect from June 1, 2026.
The notification was issued by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India, and circulated to the Chief Secretaries and administrative authorities concerned for necessary compliance.
