MHA Orders Major AGMUT Cadre Reshuffle; 61 IAS & IPS Officers Transferred Across Union Territories

Delhi gets the highest share of officers, as Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Mizoram, and Other AGMUT segments see large-scale administrative changes

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday issued a major transfer and posting order involving 61 officers of the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories) cadre, including 21 IAS officers and 40 IPS officers. The transfers have been ordered with immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders.

The reshuffle covers officers posted in Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Mizoram, Goa, Ladakh, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (DNH&DD).

Among the IAS officers, Vivek Pandey (2003 batch) has been transferred from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi, while Sanjay Goel (2004 batch) has been shifted from Goa to Arunachal Pradesh. Pawan Kumar Sain (2005) and Amjad Tak (2005) have also moved from Arunachal Pradesh to Delhi.

Other notable IAS transfers include Saugat Biswas (from Arunachal Pradesh to Jammu & Kashmir) and Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (from Jammu & Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh). 

The IPS transfers also feature several senior officers moving to Delhi. These include Vivek Kishore from Arunachal Pradesh, Sindhu Pillai from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chinmoy Biswal from Arunachal Pradesh, A. Koan from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Anil Kumar Lal from Puducherry.
