Meetu Agarwal Appointed Director In Department Of Defence Production

According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Agarwal, who was recommended by the Department of Revenue, will serve in the post for a period of five years from the date she assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The memorandum also directed that she be relieved of her current duties immediately to enable her to take up the new assignment in the Department of Defence Production.

The order further stated that officers appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme are required to join their assigned post within three weeks from the date of issue of the appointment order, failing which the process of debarment from the scheme may be initiated.
