Major Reshuffle In Gujarat Police

Top officers get new charges as government streamlines police administration

In a major reshuffle of top police officers, the Gujarat government on Monday transferred 25 police officers to various new posts or gave them additional charges.

These included senior IPS officers S. Pandia Rajkumar, Ajay Kumar Choudhary, M.L.Ninama, Vidhi Choudhary, Jaipalsingh Rathore and Leena Patil.

Rajkumar, currently Additional Director General of Police, CID (Crime and Railways), Gandhinagar has been transferred and appointed Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), Gandhinagar, in place of Dr. Shamsher Singh, who will continue to hold additional charge of the post of Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ahmedabad.

Ajay Kumar Choudhary, Special Commissioner of Police (Special Branch), Ahmedabad City has been transferred and appointed Additional Director General of Police (Women Cell), Gandhinagar.

M.L.Ninama, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic), Vadodara City has been transferred and appointed to the vacant ex-cadre post of Inspector General of Police, State Traffic Branch, Gandhinagar.

Vidhi Choudhary, has been appointed Additional Commissioner of Police (Special Branch), Ahmedabad City. She will also hold additional charge of the post of Additional Commissioner of Police (Admin.), Ahmedabad City.

Jaipalsingh Rathore, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Rajkot Rural has been transferred and appointed Additional Commissioner of Police, Sector-2, Ahmedabad City.

Leena Patil, Additional Commissioner of Police, Zone-3, Vadodara City has been  transferred and appointed Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Law and Order), Vadodara City.
