Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle: Centre Appoints 16 New Joint Secretaries

The officers, who have been appointed, belong to Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS), Indian Railways (Traffic) Service and Indian Statistical Service (ISS).   

In the order the DoPT said, “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments of officers at Joint Secretary/Joint Secretary equivalent level with pay at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix.”

(1) Appointment of Shri Sonal Bajaj, IRS (C&IT) (1998), as Director (Finance), NPCIL (Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd.), Mumbai, under the Department of Atomic Energy, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri M. Sankaranarayann, IAS(MH:2003);

(2) Appointment of Shri Jai Prakash Pandey, IRPS (2003), as Joint Director General (JS level), DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation), under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a combined tenure of 7 years upto 20.02.2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier,

(3) Appointment of Shri Brij Mohan Mishra, IAS (UT:2008), as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 16.11.2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Amitabh Kumar, IRS (C&IT:92);

(4) Appointment of Shri Neeraj Kharwal, IAS (UD:2007), as MD (JS Level), ITPO (India Trade Promotion Organisation), under the Department of Commerce, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier,

(5) Appointment of Shri Sudeep Shrivastava, IRSSE (2001), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Amod Kumar, IAS (UP:1995);

(6) Appointment of Shri Siljo V K, ISS (2004), as DDG (Deputy Director General), UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India), under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Manish Bhardwaj, IAS (GJ:1997);

(7) Appointment of Shri Manish Tiwari, IRTS (1995), as Joint Secretary, WDRA (Warehousing Development & Regulatory Authority), under the Department of Food & Public Distribution, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure upto the date of his superannuation on 30.09.2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Anirudh Kumar, IRSME (1995);

(8) Appointment of Shri Lokesh Kumar Sharma, IOFS (1998), as Executive Director, FCI (Food Corporation of India), under the Department of Food & Public Distribution, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Manoj Kumar Jain, IRAS (2000);

(9) Appointment of Ms. Hema Jaiswal, ISS (2004), as Executive Director, FCI (Food Corporation of India), under the Department of Food & Public Distribution, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Akhilesh Misra, IRSME (1995);

(10) Appointment of Shri Harsh Mangla, IAS (JH: 2008), as Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 24.01.2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms. Latha Ganapathy, IAS (TN:2007);

(11) Appointment of Shri Gaya Prasad, ISS (1996), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure upto the date of his superannuation on 31.07.2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Mihir Kumar, IDAS (1996);

(12) Appointment of Ms. Shruti Singh, IAS (PB:2004), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms. Garima Singh, CSS;

(13) Appointment of Ms. Roli Shukla Malge, IA&AS (2002), as FA & CAO (Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer), EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organisation), under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Sanjay Pandey, ICAS (1994);

(14) Appointment of Shri Rajendra Kumar Agrawal, IRPS (2000), as Additional Secretary (JS level), UPSC (Union Public Service Commission), under the Department of Personnel & Training, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure upto the date of his superannuation on 30.09.2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Kumar Sanjay Bariar, IP&TA&FS (1993);

(15) Appointment of Shri Jai Prakash Shivhare, IAS (GJ:2002), as Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by temporarily downgrading a vacant post of AS in the Department;

(16) Appointment of Shri Vikas Gupta, IAS (HY: 2001), as Commissioner, KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan), under the Department of School Education & Literacy, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms. Nidhi Pandey, IInfoS (1991).
