Significant changes have been made at senior levels in Gujarat’s Forest Department. The state government has appointed senior IFS officer B.P. Pati as the new Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) (Development & Management). The official notification was issued by Sanjeev Kumar, Principal Secretary, Forests & Environment Department.
Rise Of B.P. Pati
1994-batch IFS officer B.P. Pati, who has recently returned to Gujarat, has been appointed at Gandhinagar as PCCF (Development & Management). He will take charge from C.K. Sonwane, who was previously holding the additional responsibility of this post.
Post Upgraded
In line with this appointment, the post of Additional PCCF (Development & Management) has now been upgraded to the PCCF grade – indicating that the state government accords greater strategic importance to this role.
Additional Charge Of GEER
Along with his new role, B.P. Pati will also take over as Director of GEER Foundation. The charge has been withdrawn from 2003-batch officer Aradhana Sahu.
New Charge For C.K. Sonwane
C.K. Sonwane will continue as Additional PCCF (Monitoring & Evaluation). In addition, he has been assigned the additional charge of Administration & I.T., which was earlier handled by Dr. Jaipal Singh.
