In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and improving departmental efficiency, the Maharashtra government has issued transfer and posting orders for 11 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across the state.
Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal (IAS: 2005 batch), who was serving as Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Farming Corporation in Pune, has been appointed as Member Secretary of the Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research, Pune.
Shweta Singhal (IAS: 2009 batch) has been posted as Special Resident Commissioner at Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi, a key role responsible for coordination between the state government and central authorities.
Ruchesh Jaivanshi (IAS: 2009 batch) takes over as Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Farming Corporation, Pune.
In the power sector, Kanhuraj Bagate (IAS: SCS 2011) has been appointed Joint Managing Director of MAHADISCOM, Kalyan. Dr. Dilip Jagdale (IAS: SCS 2015).
Laxman Raut (IAS: SCS 2015), earlier Secretary of the Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board, Mumbai.
Geetanjali Baviskar (IAS: SCS 2015), who held that position, will now serve as Joint Secretary in the Planning Department at Mantralaya.
Pankaj Deore (IAS: SCS 2016) has been appointed as Secretary of the Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
At the district level, Minal Karanwal (IAS: 2019 batch), former CEO of Zilla Parishad, Jalgaon, has been posted as Project Director of the Nanaji Deshmukh Krishi Sanjivanee Project (POCRA), Mumbai. Karishma Nair (IAS: 2021 batch), previously Additional Municipal Commissioner of Nashik, replaces her as CEO of Zilla Parishad, Jalgaon.
Amit Ranjan (IAS: 2022 batch), who was serving as Project Officer at ITDP Pandharkawada and Assistant Collector in Yavatmal, has been appointed Additional Municipal Commissioner of Nashik Municipal Corporation.
The reshuffle reflects the state government's continued focus on administrative efficiency and effective implementation of development initiatives across sectors.
