To streamline departmental functions across various sectors, including home affairs, tourism, health, and tribal development, the Madhya Pradesh General Administration Department has issued an order transferring 26 IAS officers to new positions, along with additional responsibilities for several others.
According to the order, Shivshekhar Shukla, a 1994-batch officer serving as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Culture and Tourism Department, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Home Department, with additional charges in culture and religious trusts and endowments.
Further, 2000-batch officer Shobhit Jain has taken charge as the Principal Secretary in the AYUSH Department, while Umakant Umrao, a 1996-batch officer, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary in the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department.
Additional Charges
John Kingsly A.T., a 2004-batch officer serving as the Secretary in the departments of Narmada Valley Development and Water Resources, has been designated as the Secretary for horticulture and food processing, all the while retaining his additional roles.
Swatantra Kumar Singh, a 2007-batch officer, has been appointed the Secretary for the Fishermen's Welfare and Fisheries Development.
Shriman Shukla, a 2007-batch officer, has been appointed the Secretary in Planning, Economics, and Statistics, besides additional charges as Member-Secretary of the State Food Commission and Registrar of the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
M. Selvendran, a 2002-batch officer and Principal Secretary in General Administration, has been given additional charge as Principal Secretary in Science and Technology, relieving Sanjay Dubey, a 1993-batch officer.
