K Ramakrishna Rao Appointed Chief Secretary of Telangana
Will succeed A Santhi Kumari who holds office till April 30, 2025

Senior bureaucrat K Ramakrishna Rao (IAS: 1991: TG), currently serving as Special Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Telangana, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of the state.
He will succeed A Santhi Kumari (IAS: 1989: TG), who is set to retire on April 30, 2025.
Santhi Kumari had been appointed as Chief Secretary after a Telangana High Court verdict, which upheld the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Hyderabad’s decision to cancel the allotment of the Telangana cadre to Somesh Kumar (IAS: 1989: TG), paving the way for her elevation.
