ITBP Chief Praveen Kumar Gets Additional Charge Of BSF DG

The 1993-batch IPS officer, currently serving as DG of ITBP, will hold the post until a regular appointment is made or until further orders

The Central government has assigned the additional charge of the post of Director General (DG) of the Border Security Force (BSF) to 1993-batch IPS officer Praveen Kumar, who is currently serving as the DG of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). The appointment comes as Daljit Singh Chaudhary, the outgoing BSF chief and a 1990-batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, superannuates at the end of November.

He has been appointed to the post till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
