IPS Officer Abhishek Goyal Appointed As Special Director Of Enforcement Directorate

The Centre has appointed Abhishek Goyal, a Karnataka cadre IPS officer of the 2005 batch, as Special Director of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Goyal has been on central deputation since 2018 and served as Joint Director of ED in Hyderabad. The order appointing him as the special director was issued after the approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), headed by the Prime Minister.

The ED is headed by Rahul Navin, a 1993-batch IRS officer of the Income Tax cadre. Navin is officiating as the director of ED after the term of SK Mishra ended last September.
