IAS Officer Adra Agarwal Appointed as Secretary of Planning in GAD

With this appointment, IAS officer Rakesh Shankar, who was holding additional charge, has been relieved of his duties

Adra Agarwal, an IAS officer from the Gujarat cadre and a 2007 batch officer, has been appointed as the Secretary (Planning) in the General Administration Department (GAD) after returning to the state cadre from central deputation.

Additionally, Adra Agarwal will also take on the additional responsibility of Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries and Secretary of the Cottage and Rural Industries Department. This position had been vacant following the transfer of Pravinbhai Solanki, who was previously holding the post.
