According to a new recruitment calendar prepared to fill vacancies due to retirements in the government, approximately 21 thousand new jobs will be created every year.
State Spokesperson and Cabinet Minister in-charge of the General Administration Department Hrishikesh Patel said the government has prepared a 10-year recruitment calendar to fill the vacant posts, according to which the state government will provide a total of 2,06,991 jobs to the youth by 2033.
Claiming that the government is reforming the administration from time to time for a more people-oriented administration, the minister said that with the aim of making necessary reforms in the state's administrative system and working methods, rationalising manpower, strengthening public services and increasing efficiency through the use of latest technology, the Gujarat Administrative Reforms Commission has been formed under the chairmanship of Chief Advisor Hasmukh Adhia.
After the report of this commission comes, the government will make changes in the administration.
When contacted on the issue of the government's plans, Chairman of the Gujarat State Personnel Coordination Committee, Vishwabhai Patel said that on average, 10-14 thousand employees retire from government jobs every year.
He added that the government only recruits 15-20 per cent of the total number of jobs created every year. But if the government regularly fills in vacancies as per the new recruitment calendar, the functioning of departments and branches will speed up.
