12 Special Task Force Committees established to overhaul and enhance the state's Industrial Policy Framework

The Gujarat government has undertaken a significant initiative to review and update its industrial policy framework in line with the vision of Developed India @2047. The objective is to establish a data-driven, state-of-the-art policy that is investment-friendly, promotes innovation, and accelerates long-term social and economic development.

To achieve this, the government has officially announced the formation of 12 specific task force committees. These committees will review the existing policies, benchmark them against global standards, and seek to improve them.

The 12 committees contributing to Developed Gujarat @2047 will focus on the following areas : 

1. Committee for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development

2. Committee for Development of Industrial Infrastructure and Land-Related Matters

3. Committee for Environmental Protection and Industrial Pollution Control

4. Committee for Development of Trade, Commerce, and Services Sector

5. Committee for Skill Development and Employment Generation in Accordance with Industry Needs

6. Committee for Development of Primary Sectors and Key Industries in the State

7. Committee for Revival and Rehabilitation of Endangered Units

8. Committee for Aerospace and Defence Sector

9. Startup Committee

10. Committee focused on Research and Development

11. Ease of Doing Business Committee

12. State Level Task Force Committee

It is to be noted that each committee comprises representatives from industry associations, educational institutions, chambers of commerce, and research institutes to formulate a comprehensive and participatory policy.
