Gujarat Govt promotes Vasudeva, Thara to Additional Chief Secretary Rank

Vastala Vasudeva posted in Gujarat’s Industries Power Company Ltd and D Thara, who is on central deputation have both been given in situ promotions

With the dawn of New Year, the Gujarat government on Wednesday promoted two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of the 1995-batch - Vastala Vasudeva and D Thara - to the grade of Additional Chief Secretary.

According to an order issue by the General Administration department of the Gujarat government, Vasueva, who is holding the post of Managing Director, Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd., Vadodara, has been promoted to the Grade of Additional Chief Secretary in the Level-17 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 2.25,000 fixed). She will continue to function in the same post.

Similarly, Thara, who is presently holding the post of Additional Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, New Delhi, has been given proforma promotion under Rule 8 (5) of the IAS (Pay) Rules, 2016 to the grade of Additional Chief Secretary to Government, i.e. Level-17 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. 2,25,000 fixed). Her services will continue to be placed at the disposal of Government of India.
