Gujarat Government Expands Hareet Shukla's Role: 1999-Batch Officer To Take On More On His Plate

Hareet Shukla, Gujarat-cadre 1999-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, will now perform full-time duties as Principal Secretary in the General Administration Department (ART&NRI).

He will continue to hold additional charge as Principal Secretary of the Ports and Transport Department, as well as Director-General of the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA), according to a notification.

Shukla has been relieved of his additional charge after completion of the SIR exercise initiated by the Election Commission (EC) of India. Recently, the State government appointed Sandeep Sangale, Secretary of the Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG), to this post.

Meanwhile, to fill the vacancy created at SAG following Sandeep Sangale’s appointment, the State government has assigned an additional charge of SAG to I.R. Vala.
