Gujarat Government Transfers 37 Senior Officers Of GAS Cadre

Out of the 37, nine officers who were kept without posting for some time have been reappointed

In what looks like a sizeable overhaul of government administration, the officers without posting have been assimilated again in the system in various capacities.

The General Administration Department of the Gujarat government on Friday evening ordered the transfer of 37 officers of Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) cadre.

Among those transferred, nine officers were involved in controversies. As a result, they were kept without posting in the General Administration Department.

These officers have been reappointed today. Among the key appointments, H.P. Joshi has been transferred from the District Supply Officer of Porbandar to the Director of DRDA, Devbhoomi Dwarka.

Y.M. Sheikh has been transferred from the post of Deputy Collector of Vadodara GIDC Unit-3 to the post of Additional Labour Commissioner, Gandhinagar.

D.V. Prajapati, Deputy Collector of Aravalli, has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner in the Office of the Commissioner of Municipalities Administration at Gandhinagar.

Others have been posted in various capacities, including Director, Additional Commissioner and Joint Commissioner.
