Government Announces Key Appointments in Civil Aviation, Renewable Energy & Finance

In a significant administrative move, the Government of India has approved several appointments under the Central Staffing Scheme, assigning experienced officers to key positions in various ministries

Ms. Smitha Mol MS, IAS (TR:2013), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Delhi. Her tenure will last for four years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever comes earlier. She has been instructed to take up her new assignment immediately.

Similarly, Mr. Aditya Pratap Singh, IPS (MP:2011), who was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Delhi. His tenure will be for five years from the date of taking charge or until further orders.

Another key appointment includes Ms. Laya Madduri, IAS (AM:2010), who has been appointed as Director in the Department of Economic Affairs, Delhi. Like other appointees, she has been directed to assume charge of her new role without delay. Her tenure will be for five years under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Furthermore, Mr. Masroor Ahmad, IA&AS (2015), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, Delhi. Recommended by the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India for Central deputation, he will serve for a period of four years or until further orders. He has been advised to take up his new responsibilities at the earliest.
