Four Gujarat IAS Officers Get Central Postings
Manisha Chandra appointed in Defence Production, KK Nirala in Information Ministry and Chhakchhuak in NHRC

Four IAS officers from Gujarat have finally been appointed to central government positions. As per the latest postings, Manisha Chandra, a 2004-batch officer, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence Production. Prior to this, she was serving as Secretary in the Panchayat and Rural Housing Department in Gujarat.
Similarly, KK Nirala, a 2005-batch officer, has been posted as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Until now, he was serving as Secretary of Expenditure in the Finance Department of the state.
S. Chhakchhuak, a 2008-batch officer, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). He was earlier working as Managing Director of Gujarat Tourism Corporation.
Meanwhile, Supreet Singh Gulati, also from the 2008 batch, has been posted as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. In Gujarat, he was serving as the CEO of the Development Support Agency of Gujarat (D-SAG).
