Four Gujarat IAS Officers Get Additional Charges; One Appointed Municipal Commissioner

The General Administration Department of Gujarat has assigned additional responsibilities to four IAS officers. K.C. Sampat, currently serving as Managing Director of iNDEXTb, has been given the additional charge of Additional Industries Commissioner.

Aadraa Agrawal, who presently holds the positions of Commissioner of Cottage and Rural Industries and Secretary of the department, has been entrusted with the additional role of Managing Director of the Gujarat State Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation. Both these posts were previously held by Dr. Prashant Zilova.

In another development, V.I. Patel, CEO of the Gujarat Municipal Finance Board, has been assigned the additional charge of Mission Director for the Swachh Bharat Mission, a role earlier held by Bhavya Verma. Similarly, Vijay Kharad, currently working with the Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation, has been given the additional charge of Fisheries Commissioner—a position that had been vacant following the transfer of Dr. N.K. Meena.

Additionally, under the Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporation Act, Gujarat Administrative Service officer Mehul Desai, currently serving as Deputy Municipal Commissioner in Gandhidham, has been appointed as Municipal Commissioner. This appointment follows the transfer of M.P. Pandya.
