Two senior police officers in Gujarat have been transferred as part of an administrative reshuffle. Among them, 2014-batch IPS officer S.R. Odedara, who was serving as Superintendent of Police (SP) at Coastal Security in Gandhinagar, has now been transferred as the SP for Junagadh district. The post was previously vacant.
Hardik Prajapati, who was working as Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) in Khambhaliya, Devbhumi Dwarka, has now been moved to Kadi in Mehsana district to take up the same role.
With the June 19 by-election for the Visavadar Assembly seat in Junagadh approaching, the Home Department secured Election Commission’s approval for these transfers. The move complies with the Commission’s directives and the currently active Model Code of Conduct in Gujarat.
