The Election Commission of India has appointed senior IAS officer Sandip Janardhanpant Sagale (Gujarat cadre, 2007 batch) as the new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Gujarat.

The appointment was made through an official notification issued by the ECI Secretariat on February 23, 2026, replacing outgoing CEO Hareet Shukla, IAS.
