Dhirendra Ojha Re-employed As Principal Director General Of PIB For One Year
ACC approves contractual re-employment of senior information officer from October 1, 2026, following superannuation

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the re-employment of Shri Dhirendra Ojha as Principal Director General (PDG), Press Information Bureau (PIB), on a contract basis for a period of one year following his superannuation.
As per the order issued by the Secretariat of the ACC, Ojha’s re-employment will be effective from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. His superannuation is on September 30, 2026.
The re-employment will be on the usual terms and conditions applicable to re-employed Central Government officers. The order also specifies that the Recruitment Rules (RRs) will be kept in abeyance for the purpose of his re-employment.
The ACC approval was conveyed to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, under which the Press Information Bureau functions. The decision ensures continuity at the senior-most level of the government’s principal media and information dissemination agency.
