Dharam Chand Jain Temporarily Elevated As Special Director Of CBI

The government has elevated DC Jain, currently additional director of the Central Bureau of Investigation, as the special director of the agency by temporarily upgrading his post till his retirement on October 31.

The move is meant to ensure that the officer retires as special director of the CBI.

Jain is a Rajasthan cadre Indian Police Service officer of the 1991 batch. He was appointed in the CBI in 2019 as joint director and subsequently promoted to additional director in 2020.
