In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, Delhi Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena issued the directive for the transfer of 19 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre and 57 officers of the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) across various departments.
This is the biggest transfer and posting directive issued after the formation of the Rekha Gupta-led BJP government in New Delhi. In May this year, the Delhi L-G had transferred 42 IAS and DANICS officers.
Shurbir Singh, a 2004-batch officer, who is the Secretary (Finance), with additional charge as the Development Commissioner, will now also serve as the Director of the Directorate of Agriculture & Marketing (DAM).
K. Mahesh, a 2009-IAS officer serving as the Managing Director of the Delhi Khadi and Village Industries Board, has been handed the additional charge of Arts and Culture Secretary.
Sanjeev Mittal, a 2011-batch IAS officer serving as the Deputy Commissioner (HQ) of the Revenue Department and holding the additional charge of DAM Director, has been placed with the Delhi Jal Board.
Another IAS officer of the 2011 batch, D. Varma, who is a member of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board and holding the additional charge of the Delhi Financial Corporation's Executive Director, shall now also hold the additional charge of Secretary (Planning), following the retirement of Azimul Haque.
G. Sudhakar, who is serving as Deputy Commissioner (Central), has been given charge as the Deputy Commissioner (Old Delhi).
A. Nedunchezhiyan, Delhi Fire Service's Principal Director, will hold the additional charge of the District Disaster Management Authority's CEO, on the retirement of Krishan Kumar.
Kumar Abhishek, the Deputy Commissioner (North), has been given the charge of Deputy Commissioner (Outer North).
Suneel Anchipaka, 2014 batch IAS officer, was Special Commissioner (Trade & Taxes), holding additional charge of Special Secretary (Tourism) and Special Secretary (PWD). He has been assigned charge as the Special Commissioner (Trade & Taxes). He shall also hold the additional charge of the Special Secretary (PWD), besides MD-CEO (DT&TDC), relieving Niharika Rai, IAS, from the additional charge.
Ravi Dadhich, a 2014 batch IAS officer, has been transferred as the Deputy Commissioner (North). Ranjana Deswal has been made the Deputy Commissioner (Central).
Vandana Rao has been given the additional charge of Chief Vigilance Officer (Delhi State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd.). Mekala Chaitanya Prasad has been given the additional charge of Director (Panchayat).
Kumar Abhishek, 2016 batch IAS officer, has been given the charge of Deputy Commissioner (Outer North).
Shailendra Singh Parihar, 2018 batch IAS officer, is the Deputy Commissioner (Central North), and shall also hold additional charges of Secretary, Delhi Commission for Safai Karamcharis, and Registrar, DSEU.
Lakshay Singhal, 2019 batch IAS officer, will hold the additional charges as Secretary (PGC) and Project Director, Delhi State AIDS Control Society (DSACS).
Ayushi, 2022 batch IAS officer, has been given charge of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Bijwasan). Kanika, 2022 IAS officer, has been transferred as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Narela).
Anuja Trivedi, 2022 batch IAS officer, will work as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Matiala). Jarad Pratik Anil, 2023 batch IAS officer, has been transferred as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Bawana). Piyush Kumar, 2023 batch IAS officer, has been transferred as SDM (Chhatarpur).
Anand Tiwari (DANICS, 2002) was appointed Special Secretary (IT), with additional charges as Director, Geospatial Delhi Limited, and Special Secretary (Environment).
