CV Anand Appointed As Telangana DGP

The Telangana government on Tuesday (28.04.2026) appointed CV Anand (IPS, 1991) as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of the state. He succeeds B. Shivadhar Reddy, who is retiring on April 30, 2026.

Currently, Anand is serving as the Special Chief Secretary in the Home Department. 

The state government issued the official order after receiving approval from the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The order was issued in the name of the Governor by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao.
