The Centre has made a large-scale reshuffle at the level of Joint Secretary in the Central Administration. Among the appointments mentioned in the notification, Central Secretariat Service (CSS) officer Sreyasi Chaudhuri has been made the Financial Advisor, whereas Sumita Singh, another CSS officer, has been given the Advisor post in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), which comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Anjali Sinha, a 1997-batch IRSME, has been appointed as a Joint Secretary in the Department of Atomic Energy. Whereas, Bhavna Saxena, a 1996 IPS officer, is given the charge of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of AYUSH.
The government has appointed Binod Kumar, a 1993-batch Indian Civil Accounts Service officer, as secretary in the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), which comes under the Ministry of AYUSH. Meanwhile, Indra Mallo is made a Joint Secretary in the National Authority Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC) under the Cabinet Secretariat. Mallo is a Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer.
Anand Kumar Jha, a 1992-batch Indian Forest Service (IFoS ) officer will take charge as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation. Krishan Kumar Singh has been named as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. Singh is a 1997-batch IRSSE officer.
In all, 21 officials belonging to different services have been appointed or reshuffled in the various departments and ministries. The notification of the appointments was issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday.
