Central Government Elevates Five 2005 Batch IPS Officers To Joint Director Rank In CBI

The Officers have been appointed as Joint Directors for a five-year term, which includes the duration they served as DIG

The Central government has promoted five IPS officers from the 2005 batch, currently serving as Deputy Inspector Generals (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), to the posts of Joint Director.

The promoted officers are S Veeresh Prabhu and Sharada Raut of the Maharashtra Cadre, Rajiv Ranjan of the Sikkim Cadre, and Sumedha Dwevedi of the Himachal Pradesh Cadre.

Vijayendra Bidari of the Tamil Nadu Cadre is also among the promoted officers. The Officers have been appointed as Joint Directors for a five-year term, which includes the duration they served as DIG.

The Department of Personnel and Training issued the notification on Monday after the approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
