In a significant reshuffle of senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, the Telangana government has made changes to multiple departments and State-run institutions. The order, issued by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, takes immediate effect, and aims to enhance administrative efficiency across key sectors such as welfare, finance, urban governance, and rural development.
Jyoti Buddha Prakash (IAS, 2002) has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). He had served as Secretary of the Scheduled Caste Development (SCD) Department. He takes over from D. Krishna Bhaskar, who was holding the position as the full additional charge.
Sabyasachi Ghosh (IAS, 1994), who is currently serving as the Special Chief Secretary for Flagship Welfare Schemes, has been given the full additional charge as Special Chief Secretary and Commissioner of the Scheduled Caste Development Department. He will continue to oversee responsibilities related to the Tribal Welfare Department as well.
Sandeep Kumar Sultania (IAS, 1998), Principal Secretary of Finance, has been assigned the full additional charge as Principal Secretary of the Planning Department and Ex-Officio Director General of the Telangana Remote Sensing Applications Centre (TGRAC). These posts were earlier handled by Jyoti Buddha Prakash.
Several changes have also been made in the municipal administration within the Hyderabad metropolitan region:
G. Srijana (IAS, 2013) has been appointed as Commissioner of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation.
T. Vinay Krishna Reddy (IAS, 2013) will serve as Commissioner of the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.
R.V. Karnan (IAS, 2012) will continue in his role as Commissioner in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
Divya (IAS, 2010), currently the CEO of the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), has been entrusted with the full additional charge as the Commissioner of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (PR&RD).
Katyayani Devi (IAS, 2017) has been transferred and appointed as the State Nodal Officer for Prajavani, while also holding the full additional charge as Joint Managing Director of the State Finance Corporation.
Raghuram Sharma (IAS) has been posted as Special Secretary to the Government in the Industries & Commerce Department, and will continue to manage additional responsibilities from his earlier assignment.
Government sources stated that the reshuffle is aimed at filling key vacancies and placing seasoned officers in strategic positions to strengthen governance and accelerate the implementation of priority initiatives across the State.
