B H Talati Appointed as Director in Gujarat’s Technical Education

IAS officer B H Talati takes charge as Director in Technical Education, bringing expertise from Climate Change and Rural Development sectors

IAS officer BH Talati, a 2010 batch officer of the Gujarat cadre, has been appointed as Director in Technical Education. Previously, he served as Special Director at the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) in Ahmedabad.

His appointment follows the release of Gurav Dinesh Ramesh, who was holding additional charge in Technical Education.

Talati has extensive experience in the Climate Change Department, where he worked for three years and eight months. He served as Joint Secretary in 2021 and was promoted to Additional Secretary in 2023. An engineering graduate with a BE in Civil, he is set to retire in April 2026.
