Ashish Bhargava Appointed Director General Of National Anti-Doping Agency

Bhargava was serving in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry as the deputy secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade

The Centre has appointed Ashish Bhargava, a Madhya Pradesh-cadre IAS officer of the 2012 batch, as the director general of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA).

Bhargava has been shifted from the Ministry of Commerce & Industry where he was serving as the deputy secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

An autonomous agency under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, NADA is the apex body promoting anti-doping efforts, ensuring clean sport practices and creating anti-doping education & awareness in the country.
