Adarsh Kumar Modi Is The New Director General of Income Tax (Vigilance)

Senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of Income Tax cadre, Adarsh Kumar Modi has been appointed as the Director General of Income Tax (DGIT) Vigilance in the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), a Finance Ministry order said. Modi's tenure will end on January 31, 2026, which is the date of his superannuation. His appointment order was issued on Tuesday evening.
