Anand Bantia Named Private Secretary to MoS Harsh Malhotra; Four Senior Officers Get Extension

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a series of key appointments and tenure extensions involving senior bureaucrats across various ministries and departments.

Anand Bantia Appointed PS to MoS

IRAS officer Anand Bantia (2012 batch) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Minister of State for Corporate Affairs and Road Transport & Highways Harsh Malhotra. His tenure as IFA (Director level) in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has been curtailed to facilitate the appointment. He will assume charge at the Director level from June 27, 2026, or the date of joining.

Sheetal Verma Gets One-Year Extension

IAS officer Sheetal Verma (UP cadre, 2007 batch), serving as Director of Census Operations and Director of Citizen Registration in Uttar Pradesh under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been granted an extension in central deputation up to June 30, 2027.

Subramanyam’s Tenure Revised to 7 Years

IAS officer Javvadi V. Naga Subramanyam (AM:2009), Joint Secretary in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, will continue in his post until February 15, 2027, taking his overall central deputation tenure to seven years.

Rajesh Kotecha Gets Extension

The ACC has approved a one-year extension for Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH. He will continue on a contract basis till June 28, 2027, or until further orders.

Ajai Kumar Verma Gets Extension

Ajai Kumar Verma (IDSE:2000), Director in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), has been granted a nine-month extension in his central deputation tenure, allowing him to continue until April 1, 2027.
