3 IAS Get Secy-Level Posts; 7 Empanelled As Addl-Secys

According to an official order, Rajit Punhani (IAS: 1991: BH) has been empanelled for appointment as Secretary or Secretary-equivalent. Keshav Kumar Pathak (IAS: 1990: BH) and Satyabrata Sahu (IAS: 1991: OR) have been empanelled for Secretary-equivalent posts.

In a separate decision, the ACC has empanelled seven IAS officers from various cadres and batches for Additional Secretary and Additional Secretary-equivalent level positions in the Government of India.

The officers empanelled as Additional Secretary or equivalent are:

1. Anju Sharma (IAS: 1991: GJ)
2. Aniruddhe Mukerjee (IAS: 1993: MP)
3. Nitishwar Kumar (IAS: 1996: UP)
4. Sunil Kumar Barnwal (IAS: 1997: JH)

Those cleared for Additional Secretary-equivalent positions include:

1. Manish Bhardwaj (IAS: 1997: GJ)
2. Shantanu (IAS: 1997: TR)
3. Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu (IAS: 1997: UK)

These empanelments open the door for key bureaucratic appointments at the central level, reflecting the government’s ongoing efforts to fill top administrative positions with experienced officers from across the country.

It is noteworthy that two batch toppers feature on the empanelment list. Aniruddhe Mukerjee (1993 batch), currently serving as Principal Resident Commissioner of Madhya Pradesh Bhawan in New Delhi, and Sunil Kumar Barnwal (1997 batch), presently posted as Additional Secretary (equivalent) in the Department of Higher Education at the Centre, have both been cleared for higher responsibilities.

Additionally, Nitishwar Kumar, who is serving as Additional Secretary (equivalent) in the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, has also been empanelled for the rank of Additional Secretary. Both Kumar and Barnwal, already at Additional Secretary-equivalent positions, have now been formally empanelled for the Additional Secretary level.

Meanwhile, Manish Bhardwaj and Shantanu are currently serving at the Joint Secretary level in the UIDAI and the Ministry for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), respectively. Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu is presently posted in his parent cadre.
