In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday transferred 24 IAS officers. The list includes District Magistrates (DMs) of several key districts such as Ayodhya, Barabanki, Ghazipur, Ambedkar Nagar, Etah, Hapur, Aligarh, Banda, Farrukhabad, and Sonbhadra.
Among the prominent postings, Avinash Kumar was appointed as the new DM of Aligarh, while Arvind Singh took charge as DM of Etah. Amit Aseri was posted as DM of Banda, and Ankur Lather assumed office as DM of Farrukhabad. Kavita Meena was assigned Hathras, and Isha Priya was made DM of Ambedkar Nagar. Charchit Gaur was posted as DM of Sonbhadra, while Anupam Shukla was moved to Ghazipur.
In another set of changes, Shashank Tripathi was transferred to Ayodhya as DM, with Ishan Pratap Singh replacing him in Barabanki. Nikhil Tikaram Funde, the outgoing Ayodhya DM, was appointed Special Secretary to the Chief Minister. Prem Ranjan Singh was shifted to a role in the education department, while Abhishek Pandey was posted as Additional Land Management Commissioner. Sangeet Ranjan was reassigned to the agriculture department as Special Secretary.
Apart from district-level reshuffles, several officers were moved to key positions in state departments and development authorities. Some were given responsibilities in sectors such as public works, higher education, and urban development, reflecting a broader administrative reorganisation. The reshuffle indicates the government’s focus on balancing field postings with policy-level roles to enhance governance outcomes.
The reshuffle comes a day after another late-night administrative overhaul in which 40 IAS officers were transferred, including DMs of districts such as Unnao, Sultanpur, Shamli, Amroha, Hamirpur, Mainpuri, Auraiya, Saharanpur, Agra, Bulandshahr, Lakhimpur Kheri, Fatehpur, Jhansi, Shravasti, and Raebareli.
